Emma Watson in conjunction with Vogue US has hosted the London Show Rooms initiative event in NYC. The cocktail party focused on helping raising the profile of masterful London designers in the States and magnifying their media presence and business.

Emma Watson made an appearance in a provoking black leather mini-dress having a show-full of trends in one. The British beauty wore Christopher Kane dress & Casadei court shoes.

See-through fabric, bodice, floral designs – Emma took advantage of the latest looks and went all womanish.

The dress had a peek-a-boo of lace and was elaborately hand embroidered with "a bit perverse and ironic" flowerets as Christopher wanted them to look. Quoting the young Scottish designer, the dress is "about a delinquent teenager"

Women Wear Daily got a chance to chat with Emma Watson, here's what the blossoming fashion icon said on british approach to fashion

WWD: What do you think defines British style?
Emma Watson: It's so funny because now that I'm in America, I'm more able to define it. Before I didn't have an awareness of another style. I think [British style] has to do with the weather. We have terrible weather. It's very gray and drizzly so we need things to cheer us up. And I think that leads to a lot of creativity and color, and I think that's why our designers are so innovative. Because at home we're kind of up against the elements in a sense. And we need cheering up. I think we do very well with kind of an eclectic mix. We have great vintage and we love to mix and match: high street and high fashion, vintage…and I think that really defines it as well.
